Africa Advocacy Foundation, About Us

"We are a small team with big ideas. We are versatile, innovative, and love to face and overcome challenges together as a family and a community."

Agnes Baziwe   |   Chief Executive

"I was feeling very lonely, suicidal, the doctors tried with every anti-depression which didn’t work. AAF has helped me be part of a community, it has helped me feel like I am somebody, I disclosed my HIV status to my family…  I feel more confident now."

Africa Advocacy Foundation is a by-and-for community-based organisation working to reduce inequality and improve the lives of Black, migrant, and other marginalised communities in the UK, Europe and Africa. We combine direct support, community engagement, training and advocacy to address the barriers that prevent people from living safe, healthy and independent lives.

Our work focuses on preventing violence against women and girls, promoting sexual and reproductive health, improving mental health and wellbeing, strengthening safeguarding, reducing poverty and supporting communities to exercise their rights and participate fully in society.
