There are a vast number of issues that can negatively impact upon our mental health and well-being, including physical illness and injury; relationships; parenting; divorce; bereavement; finances; housing situation; and caring responsibilities and abuse.
AAF believes that no person should have to face these issues alone. Therefore we run a weekly a volunteer led activities to address issue that affect beneficiaries including women and children and their personal experiences of FGM, HIV, domestic violence and sexual exploitation.
A team of 4 trained volunteers runs our Community Mental Health Champions activties which aims to recruit and train community members to have conversations on mental health. We also run light exercise activties through Yoga for Health sessions each Thursday at 12pm.
