Youth Services Volunteer: AAF-V022

Are you passionate about working with young people?

As a volunteer coordinating Youth4Life Club, you will run a peer-led young people's programme that focuses on careers, sexual health, Peer support, social/ wellbeing activities, psychosocial interventions and the arts.  The service trains young mentors to support other young people experiencing hardships e.g. young carers, unaccompanied minors, those experiencing difficulties at school, boys and girls at risk of violence, extremist ideas, grooming or sexual exploitation or harmful cultural practices. Y4L Club also delivers creative arts sessions, discussions, outreach volunteer led activities which take place weekly.

We are looking to recruit a volunteer to lead Youth4Life Project activities. The successful candidate should have experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds as well as with multi-agency teams, stakeholders and partners in any setting. The successful candidate should also have experience/understanding of working in sexual and reproductive health, education or human rights especially with vulnerable young people refugees, asylum seeking or migrant backgrounds.

The selected candidate must exhibit high standards of professionalism, dedication and commitment to achieving the best health outcomes for our young people. In return AAF will offer you excellent volunteering experience, relevant training and support needed to perform your role effectively and as conveniently as possible and in so doing making a difference to the lives of young people, their families, and the community.
